Let’s give the ONE FINGER WAVE to 2022 and look forward to a fresh start in 2023 with this virtual New Year’s Walk / Run! Run or walk a virtual 5k,10k or half marathon from December 30th – January, 2nd. All participants receive a sweet commemorative tri-blend t-shirt, medal, digital race bib and finisher certificate.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does a virtual race work?
Simply register for the event, complete the distance anytime and anywhere you desire between the allotted dates (Dec. 30th – Jan. 2nd) , and upload your times when you are finished. When you complete the event we will mail you your swag items within six weeks.
Are the shirts unisex or gender specific?
We have men’s and women’s sizes.
Do I get a finisher's medal?
Yes, all participants will receive a finisher medal.
When will I get my medal and t-shirt?
Once you have completed the event we will send out your medal and t-shirt. However, we will not be ordering any of the swag items until after the event ends on January 2nd. Swag items will take about 6 weeks to get to you after that.
Are there prizes for top finishers / teams?
Not exactly. Every finisher will get a finisher certificate. However, there are no prizes for being the fastest individual or team.
When does the race take place?
You can complete your race and submit your times any time between Dec.30th at 12:01am and January 2nd at 11:59pm.
Can I register after January 1st?
You can register anytime between now and January 2nd. You must finish the event by 11:59pm on January 2nd.
What if I am not able to complete my race during the race period?
In order to participate you must complete the race during the dates we have scheduled for the event. If you miss this one, you can join any of our other virtual events. Please email us [email protected] if you have any questions.

Where is my bib and how can I print it out?

I live outside of the United States, can I still participate?
Yes!
How do I track my race (Do I need a GPS watch/tracker, or Strava)?
You can use whatever device works best for you to track your mileage and time. You are on the honor system. There are no additional awards given for running faster.
Do treadmill miles count? What about Trail miles?
Yes for all.
Do elliptical miles count?
No. Sorry.
How do I submit my results?
To post your results follow these steps:
- Log into your RunSignup account
- Click RESULTS at the top of the page
- Select Submit Virtual Results
- Search for your registration by either first and last name or email address and DOB
- Once you have found your registration select Submit Virtual Results
- Enter your time and then select Submit Results
Which miles / kilometers count?
You must run the event in “one attempt”. Meaning you go out once during the event dates and run / walk (or combine) your distance all at once.
