Join us for this one of a kind, one day relay that explores Portland and surrounding areas.  The relay starts and finishes at LEVEL BEER.  Level Beer is located close to the banks of the Columbia River at 5211 NE 148th Ave in Portland.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Registration ends FRIDAY MAY 31 at 11:59pm and is limited to 300 teams.

Registration includes a commemorative Rose City Relay finisher medal and t-shirt for all team members.

FRIDAY MAY 3RD:  REGISTRATION CLOSES (IF NOT SOLD OUT).

All team captain must create a team prior to registration closing. Registration will officially close May 3rd at 11:59pm. Team members can still be added after this date.

FRIDAY MAY 3RD:  VOLUNTEER DEADLINE!

All teams within 100 miles must have one volunteer signed up or pay the $100 volunteer fee by the end of the day on Friday (11:59pm).

FRIDAY MAY 10TH:  MEDAL DEADLINE.

Last day to order extra medals (for your volunteer / driver etc)

FRIDAY MAY 10TH:  LAST DAY TO ADD / UPDATE T-SHIRTS.

Last day to order extra race shirts and update sizes. Size and quantity you have on your roster on Friday is what you will receive at packet pick up. NO EXCEPTIONS.

FRIDAY MAY 17TH:  LAST DAY TO ADD OR CHANGE TEAMMATES AT NO CHARGE.

You can still make changes or additions to your team, however, each addition / change will cost $20.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

FRIDAY MAY 17TH:  VOLUNTEER POSITIONS WILL BE MADE PUBLIC.

We will make public the volunteer positions.  Volunteers can sign up and choose their desired position on a first come first serve basis.

FRIDAY MAY 31ST:  LAST DAY TO ADD / CHANGE TEAM MEMBERS.   

All teams must be completed with all team members registered. Last day for additions/substitutions. There are no refunds.

FRIDAY MAY 31ST:  LAST DAY TO CHANGE YOUR TEAM SIZE / CATEGORY / DISTANCE ETC.

After this date you will have to remain in your registered category or forfeit your registration.

FRIDAY JUNE 7TH:  TEAM FINISH TIME SURVEY MUST BE COMPLETED.

Each team must complete the finish time survey by this date in order to receive an accurate start time. Submit your most accurate/up-to date finish time by registering and completing one of our many great Terrapin races!

FRIDAY JUNE 7TH:  TEAM VOLUNTEER POSITIONS MUST BE COMPLETED.  

Any team that has not had their volunteer choose a position will be charged the $100 volunteer fee or their registration will be canceled.

FRIDAY JUNE 21ST:  START TIMES POSTED.

Team start times are posted.  Start times are between 6:00am and 11:00am.

FRIDAY JUNE 21ST:  VOLUNTEER EMAIL WILL BE SENT.

Final volunteer times / positions will be sent to all volunteers / team captains.

FRIDAY JUNE 28TH:  PACKET PICK UP / TEAM CAPTAIN MEETING / VAN DECORATING PARTY.

Time and location will be sent to team captain prior to packet pick up. ALL teams are required to have one team member attend.  Packets will not be available race morning.

1-2 PERSON TEAM
Tier one:  $150 until Fri. Feb. 1st at 11:59pm
Tier two:  $200 until Fri. May 31st at 11:59pm

3-4 PERSON TEAM
Tier one:  $300 until Fri. Feb. 1st at 11:59pm
Tier two:  $400 until Fri. May 31st at 11:59pm

5-6 PERSON TEAM
Tier one:  $450 until Fri. Feb. 1st at 11:59pm
Tier two:  $600 until Fri. May 31st at 11:59pm

Teams that can maintain a 13 minute per mile pace can choose from either the 68 or 47 mile distance. Teams that can maintain a 13:01 – 18:00 minute per mile pace can enter into the 47 mile relay. All teams must complete the course within 14 hours.

Each team is required to provide one volunteer to work a 4-6 hour shift or pay $100 to “Hire A Volunteer”. You’ll have the option of hiring a volunteer at checkout or providing your volunteer closer to the event. The Volunteer requirement is waived if all of your team is greater than 100 miles from the start / finish area.

CHOOSE FROM TWO GREAT DISTANCES

There is an option to choose the 68 and 47 mile relay.  Teams of one through six team members who can maintain a 13 minute per mile or faster pace can compete in either the twelve leg, 68 mile relay or the 47 mile relay.  Teams that can maintain between a 13 and 18 minute per mile pace will compete in the nine leg, 47 mile relay.  All teams must complete the relay in 14 hours or less.

WHAT IS THE REGISTRATION PROCESS?

On August 31st, team captains will be able to begin registration for their teams. It is not necessary to have all members of your team by registration time.

Captains will complete the online registration form and pay the registration fee by credit card online. The relay will be limited to the first 300 six person  teams or 1800 total participants.

IS THERE A VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT?

HOW LONG IS THE RELAY?

The running relay is approximately 68 miles.  The walking relay is approximately 47 miles.

IS THERE A WALKING RELAY?

Yes there is.  See above answer.

HOW DIFFICULT / LONG ARE EACH LEG?

The entire course is extremely flat!  Legs vary in length.  See course map tab for more info.

WHAT ARE THE STARTING TIMES?

We will start in waves beginning at 6:00am and ending at 11:00am.  We will announce team starting times on June 21st.

WHERE DO I PICKUP MY PACKET?

TBD.

The location and time will be announced as we get a little closer to the event.  The packet pick up will take place on June 28th.  All teams must attend this pick up.  There will be no day of race pick up.

IS THERE A CAPTAINS MEETING?

Yes.  We will announce the time and location as we get closer to the event.  The meeting will take place on Friday June 28th.  All team captains must attend this pick up.  There will be no race day captains meeting.

IS THERE A VAN DECORATING PARTY?

Yes.  This will take place on Friday June 28th.  Time and location will be announced as we get closer to the event.  You are not required to attend this by why the heck wouldn’t you!

HOW DO WE CHANGE THE TEAM NAME?

The team captain can change the team name at any time by going to his / her  account and changing the name.  Any members not signed up must be informed of the change by the captain (so they can sign up for the correct team).

WHERE DO WE SIGN THE WAIVER?

All team members must sign the waiver at time of sign up.  If team captains are registering other team members during registration, they must enter a current, working email address for that team member so the team member can sign the waiver.

HOW IS OUR START TIME DETERMINED?

Based on the info you gave us regarding each of your team members 10k pace time.  We calculated the time and put you in the wave that will guarantee you finish before the course closes at 7:00pm.
