AM I REGISTERED?
If you received an email confirmation for the race you are registered. You can search for your name by clicking here (if your name is there you are registered). If you would like to change distances or if there is any info that needs correcting (mis-spelled names, wrong age, etc) please read the next FAQ.
HOW DO I CHANGE MY PERSONAL INFO OR RACE DISTANCE?
You can update your personal info BEFORE TUESDAY AUGUST 1 (Gender, Date of Birth, Email Address, Day Phone, Mailing Address, Emergency Contact Name/Phone, How Did You Hear About This Event, User search on ACTIVE.com, and Custom Questions.) by going to your Active.com account and clicking on “my events”. Once there, locate the appropriate event, click the Edit Registration Information link, update the info and click continue. The deadline to change your information is Tuesday August 1st at 1159pm. After that date, please contact us at email@example.com or come to the pre-race packet pickup to make any changes.
CAN I GET A REFUND?
Sorry there are no refunds for any of our events. See below on how to transfer your registration.
CAN I TRANSFER MY REGISTRATION TO SOMEONE ELSE?
Yes you can, BEFORE TUESDAY AUGUST 1. You can read how to transfer your registration by following this link. Once you do that, follow the instructions. Transfers cost $20 each and does not give the new participant free entry into the race (it does allow you to recover some of the registration cost). The deadline to transfer registration is Tuesday August 1st at 11:59pm.
AM I GUARANTEED A T-SHIRT?
T-shirts are NOT included in this event and are an additional $10. The last day to register and purchase a t-shirt is Tuesday July 25th at 11:59pm. T Shirts are a soft cotton/poly blend and run on the smaller side
IS THERE A TIME LIMIT TO COMPLETE THE EVENT?
Yes there is. We ask that everyone run / walk 18 minutes per mile or faster. That amounts to completing the event in roughly four hours.
CAN I RUN WITH MY DOG?
Sorry, not for this one. There simply is not enough room on the corridor.
CAN I RUN WITH A JOGGING STROLLER?
Sorry, not for this one.
CAN I LISTEN TO MUSIC WHILE I RUN?
Yes you can. However, this is an open course and there will be vehicles driving on it. Please keep the sound at a minimum for your own safety.
IS THERE PARKING?
There is mainly on-street parking in the neighborhood. Please carpool or take public transportation. Biking there is a piece of cake. You can take the Springwater Corridor trail, the very same one you will be running on!
IS THERE A GEAR CHECK?
For your convenience we have a complimentary clothing check, we have reusable bags for your use but we encourage you to bring your own. IMPORTANT! Please do not leave valuables at the gear check. Although our gear checks are very safe and secure, we will not be responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items.
WHERE DO THE RACES START AND FINISH?
The half marathon and 10k races start and finish at Sellwood Riverfront Park. Please don’t confuse this with Sellwood Park, which is just up the hill.
WHEN IS THE AWARD CEREMONY / WHAT ARE THE AWARDS?
We will announce the top three male + female finishers in each distance on the stage and hand out their trophies. The 10K awards will be at 6:00pm and the Half Marathon awards are at 7:00pm.
Ribbons for age group winners will be available informally in the timing tent as you finish the race. Age groups span every 5 years from age 14 – 85 (ex. age 15 – 19, age 20-24)
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY REGISTRATION?
We have lots of goodies for you! There are games, a beer garden with beer, cider and wine, tasty food, commemorative medals, chip timing, live music after the event and much much more!
WHAT IS THE AFTER RACE PARTY?
The after race party is free and anyone can attend. There will be free dinner and one free Lagunitas beer or Two Towns Cider (for participants over 21) included in race entry. Additional beer tickets will be sold for $5 at the registration tent.
HOW DO I GET THERE?
You can Google directions to the park from wherever you are coming from. Sellwood Riverfront Park is located on SE Oaks Park Way in Portland. Do not confuse this with Sellwood Park which is just up the hill.
HOW / WHERE DO I GET MY ID CHECKED AND DO I REALLY NEED IT?
Yes, you definitely need your ID. You must have a stamp or a wristband to get your beer. It is best if you get your ID checked EARLY and get it done with. Then you can avoid one more line when you finish. We have an ID check set up starting in the morning. You can get your ID checked there or at the beer area.
WHAT ARE IMPORTANT DEADLINES FOR THE RACE?
JULY 25TH AT 11:59PM | T-SHIRT DEADLINE:
JULY 28 | TRANSFERS + MAIL-IN / STORE DROP-OFF REGISTRATION: July 28 is the last day you can transfer your race entry to someone else. It is also the last day to drop off a paper registration to our running store partners or for us to receive registrations to our PO Box
AUGUST 2 AT NOON | ONLINE REGISTRATION: August 2nd Online Registration closes at 12 Noon. To register for the race after that date, you can do this in person at Packet Pickup or at the event only.
