INFORMATION ABOUT THE MT TABOR DOGGIE DASH:

ABOUT THE KIDS EVENT:
The kids’ race is a non-timed 1/2 mile event for children of all
ages. The cost for this event is $5 without a t-shirt. Parents are welcomed
and encouraged to run or walk with their kids. There is no cost for
parents to run with kids. The kids event starts where the 8k starts
(near the playground) and finishes where all the other events finish
(at the finish chute near the party).
AFTER RACE PARTY / LIVE MUSIC / FOOD / BEVERAGE:
This fun and relaxing party takes place in the park at picnic area A
near the basketball courts (see map on our website). Come lounge on
the grass and listen to some great music while sipping on a couple of
Lagunitas brews (over 21) or root beer (under 21) and eating some delicious
post race food (all included in entry fee).
There is also fruit / bread and other tasty treats from several of our
great sponsors! The after race party is free for all to attend. However,
only participants will receive the goodies FREE at the party.
CLOTHING CHECK-IN AT THE EVENT:
There is a clothing check at this event. We use organic
cotton bags for this instead of plastic bags and we re-use them, so please
be sure to help keep costs down and return them to us. Or feel free to check your own bag or backpack. To
protect your belongings, only the person wearing the bib with the matching
# will be allowed to retrieve the belongings in the bag.
DOGS / PETS IN THE EVENT:
Bring your pups along for this dog-friendly event!Please make sure they are well bahaved, friendly and on a leash at all times!
JOGGING STROLLERS IN THE EVENT:
Jogging strollers are permitted in this event. However we ask
that you be respectful to the other participants and please start toward
the back.
IPODS / MP3 PLAYERS:
All of our events are music player friendly. However, please be aware
that you still need to be conscious of your surroundings which include
your fellow participants, emergency vehicles, and the random vehicle
that may be on the course.
HOW TO GET THERE / CARPOOL / PARKING / TRANSPORTATION:
As always with an event like this, parking is VERY limited. Because all of the roads inside the park are closed for the race, the only parking is outside of the park or on the roads leading into the park. PLEASE

RACE TIMING / RESULTS:
This event is timed by Rogue Mulit-Sport using timing chips.

AWARDS / CEREMONY:
The award ceremony will take place at approximately 11:00am. The award
ceremony will be for the Top 3 overall winners of each event and the
overall master's winners of each event. We will also have awards for
the top 3 Human / Canine teams across the finish line. The prizes for
the age group winners will be a available to pick up next to the stage
during and after the award ceremony.
We have awards for the top 3 male and female overall
finisher in each event as well as the top 3 masters male and female
in each event. There are age group awards for top 3 finishers in each
age category starting at 14 and under and going in groups of every five
years from age 15-80. (15-19, 20-24 etc).
