Course Map and description / Start location

The race begins and ends a near the Salmon St. Fountain on Front and Salmon in Downtown Portland.

PLEASE carpool, ride a bike or take Public transportation! The MAX stops half a block from the start / finish. Please go to TriMet.org to find out the best Public transportation routes. You can go to our Help Us Be Green page to find links to Portland Bike routes. You can also carpool to the event! CLICK HERE to find someone to share a ride with!

After starting off with mostly flat terrain for the first five miles, the course begins to climb as participants run up to and along Duniway and Terwilliger parks. Participants will continue their rolling uphill climb along the winding Terwilliger path past the Chart House.

From the Chart House the course begins to descend as runners cross Capitol Hwy and along the Western edge of beautiful George Hines Park down to Barbur Blvd.

The course finishes with nearly 4 miles of gradual downhill on Barbur
Blvd and Naito Pkwy to the finish at the Salmon St. Fountain near the
World Trade Center.

There are water stops / toilets at roughly:

Mile 1.5 / 3 / 5.5 / 7 / 8.5 / 11 / 12.5

You can follow these links to view maps. This is actually pretty cool. If you download Google Earth you can "fly" over the courses.
